Safety: We place particular emphasis on the safety of your bike tour. For this reason, each participant has the option of renting a helmet from us. Of course, our bikes are regularly checked and repaired in our own workshop to ensure they are roadworthy. We have worked out an almost traffic-free bike route for you. Most of the route is on bike paths, through parks and other traffic-free areas, away from busy main roads. To make the experience even safer, we split up large groups into several specially trained guides, who start a few minutes apart.

Itinerary: Our bike tour starts at our shop in the lively district of Sachsenhausen, centrally located between Südbahnhof and Lokalbahnhof and easily accessible by public transport. This charming district is not only known for its apple wine culture, but also offers a variety of cozy cafes and restaurants. After a safety briefing and adjusting the bikes to fit, we set off.

The Sachsenhausen riverbank presents itself from its sporty side in the morning. You will learn at the first stop at the museum embankment that just a few hours earlier, apple wine was flowing from jugs and countless portions of a smelly cheese were consumed. Some of Germany's most important museums are lined up here like pearls on a necklace. Afterwards, a fantastic photo stop awaits you with a view over the river and the “Mainhattan” skyline of Frankfurt. You will learn background stories that cannot be found in any travel guide, as well as information about current developments in the city.

After a few more minutes on the bike along the green riverside bike path, past plane trees and, surprisingly, banana and fig trees, we reach the old town. On Römerberg, the historic heart of the city, you can marvel at the “Römer” town hall and the imposing imperial cathedral of St. Bartholomew. The New Old Town, a successful blend of reconstructed half-timbered houses and modern new buildings, completes the historical picture. Here you can quickly see the historical significance of the city, from imperial coronations to the emergence of German democracy to the destruction in World War II and the impressive reconstruction. Of course, the topic of football will not be neglected either.

We leave the old town and continue to the center of modern Frankfurt. Passing more or less expensive shops, we arrive at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The iconic bull and bear offer the opportunity for an unforgettable group photo. Through the green oases of the city – the former fortifications – we continue to the Old Opera House and the magnificent Wilhelminian period buildings.

We have almost reached our destination. Passing the former wholesale market hall and a Holocaust memorial, we arrive at the European Central Bank – the city's new landmark. Of course, entertaining explanations and fun anecdotes await you here as well. At the end of the tour, we return to the starting point over one of the Main bridges. It's impressive how much Frankfurt has to offer when you explore it by bike!
